UiUX 101 : A Better Understanding of What is UiUX

Date: August 2022

In August 2022, I gave a presentation on the importance of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design for businesses operating in any industry. The talk was part of the Virtual Brown Bag Program organized by our department.

The session aimed to provide Graduate Trainees and Colleagues with a better understanding of what UI/UX design entails and how it works. It highlighted the key role played by UI/UX designers in creating seamless experiences for users across various platforms.

During the presentation, I’ve discussed several topics such as the basic principles behind UX design, common misconceptions about UI/UX design that need to be addressed, as well as best practices for designing effective user interfaces.

Overall, this informative session shed light on why businesses should prioritize investing in good UI/UX designs to enhance user satisfaction, engagement levels and drive loyalty towards their brand.

As a UiUX Manager, my goal is to help fresh graduate designers achieve their potential and succeed in the field. This starts by providing them with the necessary tools and resources to develop their skills and understanding of UI/UX design.

I believe it's important to create an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and seeking feedback from more experienced team members. This promotes continuous learning and improvement while also fostering collaboration within the team.

Additionally, I encourage new designers to stay up-to-date on industry trends, attend relevant conferences or workshops, participate in online communities or forums, as well as build relationships with other professionals in the field.

With hard work, dedication, and guidance from experienced mentors like myself, I am confident that any fresh graduate designer can excel in this exciting and ever-evolving field.
